Reigning two-time CIAA Tournament Champion Livingstone College secured a spot in the CIAA Tournament semifinal with a 97-91 double overtime victory over Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls on Thursday evening.

A Lithonia, Ga. product, Lemon finished the 2015-16 season as the CIAA’s top scorer as he finished the year averaging 22.1 points per game in conference play. Lemon also led the league in numerous categories including total field goals (125), total points (332), and points per 40 minutes (29.5).

 The Johnson C. Smith University men’s basketball team clinched the CIAA Southern Division title and with it, a No. 1 seed in the upcoming CIAA Tournament with a 102-92 Senior Day win over visiting Shaw on Saturday afternoon.

The Johnson C. Smith University men’s basketball team blew open a close game by going on a 12-0 run in the latter stages of the second half and never looked back, taking a crucial 81-68 win over St. Augustine’s at Emery Gym on Wednesday night. 

The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls men’s basketball team announces open tryouts for any full-time students interested in becoming a part of the Golden Bulls men’s basketball program. Tryouts will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in Brayboy Gymnasium.  Tryouts are open to any full-time JCSU student in good academic standing with the University.

Charlotte, N.C. (July 31, 2015) – Johnson C. Smith assistant men’s basketball coach Mark Sherrill has been invited to attend the United States Marine Corps Recruiting Command Coaches Workshop on August 5-8 in Quantico, Va.

Throughout the week, participants will interact with officer instructors and key leaders and also see firsthand, the process of training and commissioning Marine Officers.
