Cross Country Competes at Winthrop/Adidas Invitational

Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 20, 2015) –  The Johnson C. Smith Cross Country teams began their 2015 season at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19.In the men’s 8K race, JCSU was paced by Waynee Hyman (Warwick, N.Y.), as he finished the course in 35:22.4.  Marvin Woodward (Bloomfield, Conn.) was the second JCSU finisher with a time of 38:54.1.

On the women’s side, Fellan Ferguson (Trelawny, Jamaica) was the top JCSU finisher, completing the 5K course in 21:57.7.  Domenique Julius-Williams (Oshawa, Ontario) finished second for JCSU with a 22:51.2

The Golden Bulls will take part in the Charlotte Invitational at McAlpine Park on Friday, Sept. 25 in their next race.
