FAMU Alumni Giving Campaign Launches New Initiative

FAMU 10 for 10 campaign launches the 8434 fundraising campaign, one year to the day after the campaign raised more than $200,000 in the grassroots campaign.

10 for 10 Challenge Creator and 2015 HBCU Awards ‘Alumna of the Year’ award winner Cecka Rose Green challenged FAMU President Elmira Mangum and Board Chair Rufus Montgomery to kick off the campaign in the launch video.

“If 8,434 Rattlers, family and friends commit to giving at least $10 a month for the next year, we will have raised more than a million dollars for our beloved FAMU.” Green said. She added, “alumni must re-energize, recommit and make it recurring for FAMU by donating what amounts to roughly one lunch a month to the university.”
