Winston-Salem, N.C. (Feb. 15, 2016) – The Johnson C. Smith men’s indoor track and field team had four podium finishes and returned a fourth place finish at the CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the JDL FastTrack in Winston-Salem on Monday afternoon.
Senior Waynee Hyman (Warwick, N.Y.) bought back a second place finish in the 200m finals with a time of 21.68. Hyman also finished fifth in the 400m with a 49.57.
Teammate Joshua Cunningham (Toronto, Ontario) raced to third place in the 400m with a 48.71. Cunningham and Hyman, along with Gawayne Stephenson (Clarendon, Jamaica) and Kyle Robinson (Levelland, Tex.) were a part of the 4×400 relay team that captured third place by posting a 3:27.69.
Rounding out the top finishes for the Golden Bulls was Trey Patterson (North Plainfield, N.J.), as he finished third in the shot put with a top throw of 13.36m
