JCSU Volleyball Cruises Past Morris, 3-0
Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 26, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith volleyball team rebounded from a disappointing loss on Thursday evening by blanking visiting Morris College, 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 15-11) on Saturday afternoon in Brayboy Gym.
JCSU was led by sophomore hitter Makayla Adams (Michigan City, Ind.), as she tallied 13 kills while hitting .409 on the afternoon. Teammate and senior Salesse Stovall (Roanoke, Va.) had 12 kills and a .611 hitting percentage in the win.
Senior setter Khadijah Segura (Minneapolis, Minn.) had 36 assists on the afternoon while freshman libero Raven Bandy (Loganville, Ga.) had 13 digs.
JCSU improves to 2-9 overall and will visit Shaw on Monday, Sept. 28 for a CIAA Southern Divisional matchup.
