Box Score Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team hit the road to take on SIAC foe Benedict and fell by a final of 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 19-25).The Golden Bulls were led by freshman Anteesha Smoots (San Antonio, Tex.), as she tallied six kills in the outing.  Senior Saleese Stovall (Roanoke, Va.) and junior Jana Ajdukovic (Zagreb, Croatia) each had five kills for JCSU while  Khadijah Segura (Minneapolis, Minn.) dished out 18 assists.

Defensively, Stovall contributed 10 digs on the evening, while Segura and Adjukovic each had five.

JCSU falls to 0-6 on the season and will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the CIAA Roundup on Sept. 19-20.  JCSU opens play against Bowie State at Noon and will take on Lincoln at 3:00 p.m.  On Sunday, the Golden Bulls will have a single match, taking on Virginia Union at 1:00 p.m.
