Volleyball Falls Twice In Day Two of Falcon Classic

Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 5, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team completed day two of the Falcon Classic, hosted by Pfeiffer University with losses to Salem International University and Slippery Rock University, both by 3-0 scores.

Against Salem International, the Golden Bulls were led by Anteesha Smoots (San Antonio, Tex.), as she tallied six kills and eight digs in the outing.  Khadijah Segura (Minneapolis, Minn.) dished out 13 assists for JCSU, which fell by scores of 12-25, 15-25, and 9-25.

In the final match of the event, Makayla Adams (Michigan City, Ind.) notched four kills while Smoots and Salesse Stovall (Roanoke, Va.) each had three.  Stovall added nine digs while Segura had six assists.

JCSU (0-4) returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 8 with a match at Johnson & Wales.  Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
